As we kick off January, we are heading into new units within each of our classes. Here is a look at what we will be working on this month: ELA and Reading: Students will dive into poetry this month! We will begin the unit with a review of key characteristics of poetry, poetry reading and response strategies, and poetry practice. Social Studies: As we head into the new year, students will wrap up their study of Ancient Egypt and Nubia. The unit test will take place next week on January 9th and 10th, according to student class schedules. Students will complete a unit study guide during class to help them prepare, but should be studying on their own as well. Use past quizzes, note packets, and the study guide to help with review.
