Tonight's homework is as follows:
ELA: 1. Finish analyzing 1 obstacle from today's class. My example from class is posted below: Questions I considered: What is the obstacle? What is the lesson learned? What does this experience teach Ulysses? Write up: The first obstacle on Ulysses’ Road of Trials is the Ciconians. He must decided whether to stop and raid the city or not. Ulysses has reservations, but he does not follow his heart. He wants to listen to his men, and keep them happy. At first, they are successful. The men find a lot of gold and treasure. However, they are soon outnumbered and are forced back onto the ship. Odysseus should have listened to his heart. He lost the lives of many men, and his treasure after this obstacle. 2. Analyze Evidence Handout (a new copy can be downloaded here. Reading: Answer the reading questions for Chapter 8, Circe. Students should not answer the last 2 questions. Students who have not reached their required page number for silent reading should complete the reading tonight. Social Studies: Chapter 6, section 3 quiz Friday. please review your notes each night.
